afterthought. Our system was written using secure programming practices and
is routinely audited for security-related issues.
- Built on a Secure Platform
As with all of our systems, Superblock
uses the ultra-secure OpenBSD operating
system as our platform of choice. Widely recognized for its proactive stance
on security and reliability, OpenBSD provides a rock-solid platform for hosting
our Corduroy application.
- SSL Encryption
Many sites use SSL just for login pages, but Corduroy keeps your data private
and secure using SSL for your entire site. No need to worry about private
information being seen on public networks such as WiFi hotspots or your
customer's network.
- PCI DSS Merchant Compliant
Corduroy servers are routinely scanned and audited by a 3rd party for security
vulnerabilities and are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security
Standards (PCI DSS), endorsed by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover,
and JCB card brands.
- Offsite Credit Card Processing
Your credit card information for your Corduroy subscription is securely
transferred to and stored by our Level-1 PCI DSS compliant credit card
processor.
- Data Partitioning
Every Corduroy site is hosted in its own separate database to prevent the
disclosure of private information such as customer counts.
- Multiple Daily Backups
Corduroy databases are backed up multiple times per day, over a secure network,
to a secure server off-site.
- Downloadable Database Backups
Your site's administrative users are able to download archives of your full
Corduroy database or just selected tables, on-demand, at any time, for safe
keeping on your own computer or backups. These backups are provided in CSV
format for easy importing into other data manipulation tools such as Microsoft
Excel.
